SASIHC will ensure that the housing stock provided is available to the target market (social housing) of those in need within the inner city of Kimberley and the surrounding areas. The household income targeted shall be between R1500 - R15,000.

At all times, the institution will strive to become sustainable and financially self- sufficient with respect to its management and technical capacity requirements. The housing company will always be managed with sustainability as its long-term goal. Development must have a long-term perspective.

A participatory planning process aimed at integrating sectorial strategies is greatly espoused. SASIHC support the optimal allocation of scarce resources between sectors and geographic areas, and across the population in a manner that promotes sustainable growth, equity and empowerment of the poor and the marginalized.

The affairs of the Company will be run with integrity as a main principle. The company shall have its own code of best business practice.

Good corporate governance and transparency would be adhered to and instilled to all stakeholders. This would also include inter--alia community participation in need identification and helping define the products.

Whilst the business of the Company will be directed by its board of directors, at all times the independence of the Board and management to guide the business of the Company will be maintained, free from political or other unwanted interference

The SASIHC will set realistic growth targets in order to ensure it continues to move towards its stated goals, while at the same time not compromising its financial or operational sustainability.
